Message from the President of IFAC
On behalf of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), it gives me great pleasure to invite you to Kuala Lumpur to the 18th World Congress of Accountants. The theme of the Congress, “Sustaining Value Creation”, will offer a platform for lively discussions and thought provoking debate amongst the 6,000 delegates.
Held at the state-of-the-art Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, besides the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers, delegates will hear from distinguished speakers and meet fellow professionals to share ideas and learn.
The programme has been developed to offer a wide range of interesting topics to choose from. In the face of today’s challenging business environment, we need to keep ourselves abreast of the latest developments in order to remain competitive and current.
While in Malaysia, take the opportunity to visit some of its many tourist destinations. With so much on offer, you will be spoiled for choice. For nature lovers, there are the national parks and some of the oldest rainforests in the world. Or you may prefer to while away the hours on a secluded beach. Or play a round of golf on some of the magnificent courses in Malaysia.
I look forward to meeting you in Kuala Lumpur from 8 – 11 November 2010.
